Mayerlin Garcia brings more than 15 years of experience in corporate M&A, strategy, and investment oversight. She most recently led investment strategy and fund oversight for Emerging Markets at Delphin Investments, an Asset Management firm. She previously served as Vice President in BNY’s Global Corporate Development Group, where she played a key role in over 100 M&A transactions and contributed to the execution of over 30 principal strategic investments supporting the company’s Digital Strategy and Industry Utility consortium initiatives. She managed teams of over 200 people for up to $1.6bn cross border transactions. Ms. Garcia also worked at other financial institutions such as JPM, AIG, Broadridge and CIT.
Ms. Garcia earned her BA in economics at Stony Brook University and completed an MBA in finance and marketing. She also studied in China and Colombia where she gained insight into comparative and international management. She served on the Advisory Board for the College of Business at Stony Brook and was nominated 40 under 40. Ms. Garcia was part of the Dean’s List, member of the Golden Key Society and graduated Summa Cum laude. Ms. Garcia enjoys giving back to the community and has been a member of various diversity groups including Women’s Bond Club (WBC), Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), Financial Women Association and Association of Latino Professional For America (ALPFA) where she served in the New York Chapter.
